My New Nancy Doll/Mi Nueva Nancy

I bought it a while ago at a second hand shop. She's beautiful, isn't she? Oh, btw, everything she's wearing has been made by me, except the shoes.

La compré hace poco en un rastro. ¿A que es preciosa? Ah, por cierto, todo lo que lleva se lo he hecho yo, excepto los zapatos.

How to dye Doll's Shoes/Cómo teñir Zapatos para Muñeca

Nancy dolls have a wide range of color shoes, but some of them are so pricey that, at least to me, are unaffordable. So, one day I decided to try and dye them with acrilic paint, adding a coat of varnish (for manual arts), and I liked the result, but the next time, I tried it out with nail polish and it looked even better! I bought these you can find at 99-cent stores, and it worked out pretty well.

A Little Sweater in Green/Un Jerseycito en Verde

This little sweater was for an exchange for a game we call "the invisible friend" which is very popular within the dolls message boards. One gets noted down in a list, and the admin chooses someone for you to send him/her a present, and the other way round, but you or the other person doesn't know who will send the gift.

I had always asked other people to sew or knit something for me, but since I can do it myself, last year's present for my invisible friend was this cute little sweater, made by me, obviously.

Este jerseycito lo hice para un intercambio de un juego que llamamos "el amigo invisible", muy popular entre los foros de muñecas. Te anotan en una lista, y después la/el administrador elige a alguien para que tú le mandes un regalo, y al revés, para que alguien te lo mande a ti, pero ni tú ni a quién tú le mandas el regalo sabe quién lo envía.

Yo siempre le había pedido a otra gente que cosiera o tejiera algo para mi, pero desde que yo he aprendido a hacer ambas cosas, el regalito para mi amiga invisible  fue este lindo jerseycito, hecho por mi.

Cute Socks for Nancy Dolls/Calcetines Cuquis para Nancys

When I started sewing with the sewing machine, the first dress I made for Nancy dolls was one called "Campestre" (Country Dress), a copy of an original model from the Nancy dresses official catalogue. These are some of the ones I've made so far:

Cuando empecé a coser a máquina, uno de los primeros vestidos que hicepara Nancy es uno llamado "Campestre", una réplica de un vestido original que parece en el catálogo oficial de vestidos de Nancy. Aquí podéis ver algunos de los que he hecho hasta ahora:

Problem was, if I wanted to made it the closer to the original, I had to figure out how to made socks as well. Aaaaaaaaaaand, I did, so here are some of the ones I made:

El problema era que el quería hacerlo lo más parecedo al original, y tuve que pensar cómo hacer para que tuvieran calcetines también. Yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, lo conseguí, aquí tenéis algunos de los que les he hecho:

Úrsula, the Oldest Doll in my Collection/Úrsula, la Muñeca más Antigua de mi Colección

Nancy dolls are one of the most famous dolls of all times manufactured in Spain by brand Famosa, among others like Gisela, Mariquita Pérez, or Minene made by the firm called Berjusa.

I began collecting Nancy dolls back in 2008, and this one, dated from 1975, was one of the first I got. It features what we call "daisy eyes", (as most part of 70's dolls) that is to say, the iris of her eyes have the shape of a daisy. She's also articulated in both head and wrist.

Las muñecas nancy sonde las más importantes que ha habido; son españolas y las fabrica Famosa. Gisela, Mariquita Pérez, o Minene de Berjusa, son otras muy conocidas.

Empecé a coleccionar Nancys en el año 2008, y Úrsula, que data del año 1975, fue de las primeras que conseguí. Tiene los "ojos de margarita" (en forma de margarita) típicos de las muñecas de los 70. Además, es articulada en cabeza y cintura.
